Not to be outdone by their close rivals Ajax and the Amsterdam Tournament, Feyenoord host their own Port of Rotterdam Tournament in their De Kuip Stadium on Friday 3 to Sunday 5 August.

The ninth annual Amsterdam Tournament takes place between Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 August and features four teams - hosts Ajax, Arsenal of the English Premier Legaue, La Liga’s Atletico Madrid and Serie A outfit Lazio.

The tournament comprises four matches, all of which will be played at the Amsterdam ArenA and teams will be awarded one point for every goal they score as well as the usual three for a win and one for a draw. (more…)

This year’s Premier League Asia Trophy takes place in Hong Kong where big spenders South China will compete against Premiership opposition Liverpool in a tournament which also features Portsmouth and Fulham.

The competition uses a knock-out format, with Liverpool taking on South China in one semi-final, while Portsmouth tackle Fulham in the other on 24 July. The third place play-offs and final will be played on 27 July. (more…)
