The Sussex Stakes takes part on Day Two of the Glorious Goodwood horse racing festival and is open to Group One three-year-olds and above.
Excellent Art currently leads the betting for this one mile race taking place on Wednesday 1 August.

Excellent Art
A winner at Royal Ascot and the antepost favourite, Excellent Art has a great chance to win. He could be the third horse in the last 10 years to win this race after winning the St James’ Palace Stakes. However, it could be argued his Ascot win was a result of Cockney Rebel getting injured during the race while Dutch Art had a bad day at the office.
Ramonti
Ramonti won the Queen Anne Stakes at Ascot in June and has good international form, narrowly missing out in the Italian Derby and securing a third placed finish in the Hong Kong Mile.
Asiatic Boy
May appeal to punters at longer odds after smashing everyone during four suiccessive wins in Dubai between January and March. Asiatic Boy became the first horse to win the UAE Triple Crown when he raced clear of his opponents to finish nine and a half lengths ahead of the rest in the UAE Derby. With just seven career starts, he looks to have an exciting future.
Jeremy
Jeremy was beaten by a short-head by Ramonti in the Queen Anne Stakes and according to the bookmakers is the only horse likely to challenge the front three. He may benefit from the unpredictable weather and soft ground if another downpour was experienced. Otherwise, he is thought to be the type of horse that falls short when participating at the highest level.
