Manchester United stalwart Ryan Giggs will call time on his international career, winning his 64th and final cap against the Czech Republic this afternoon.
Giggs made his Wales debut in 1991 against Germany and at the time was the youngest-ever Welsh international at 17 years and 321 days old.
The current Wales captain would have undoubtedly won many more caps than he did but for club boss Alex Ferguson withdrawing him from the squad due to “hamstring injuries”. Indeed, it was not recently Giggs played an away friendly for his country. (more…)
